After a small gap I'm back with the song 'En nenjil' from the movie Baana Kaathadi. A couple of days ago I heard this song for the first time and I was very impressed. I was hooked on this number because of the orchestration and instrumentation, which has been done by Yuvan Shanker Raja, the lyrics by Na. Muthukumar and ofcourse for Sadhana Sargams melodious voice. Simply a romantic and melodious number with some catchy beats.

This song starts with a similar beginning to that of 'Aaruyire mannipaya' along with extremely-pleasing simple tabla taal which is soothing to the ears. Srinivas and Sujatha take on this number and sing in their soft melodious voices. This is my version of this song.

Finally the audio of the much-awaited Azhagiya Thamizh Magan is out. The audio was released two days ago. Songs play an important role in all Vijay's films. Since AR Rahman is the composer for 'Azhagiya Thamizh Magan,' expectations are twice as high. I haven choosen to sing the song "Valayapatti Thavile Thavile Jugalbandhi Vaikkum Mavale Mavale Jimikki Potta Mayile" - A peppy ‘kuthu’ number which features Shriya and Vijay in an exuberant mood dancing to the tunes of A R Rahman. 'Valayapatti' has an interesting application of classical music accompanied by a traditional set of instruments. The song is sung by Naresh Iyer, Ujjayinee and Madhumita while the lyrics has been penned by Na. Muthukumar. Here is my version of the song.

Shankar Mahadevan's robust voice strung together with Madhusri's honey-timbred one generates a flood of romantic feelings. Together they are taking us along on a romantic journey.

Yuvan’s tune and backgrounds is perfect and balanced without jarring the flow. His innovation is explicit when he uses water splash sounds in the third stanza, which gives a feeling that the listener is in a solitary island. Impressive instrumentation and excellent rhythmic patterns embellish the number.
Thamarai's profound lyrics talk about the pangs of separation and the longing for togetherness the lovers go through.
